Letter Writing

Here is the a copy of an email circulating about the process recommended by the Diocese to have our voices heard in writing….

Friends:

At this point, we don’t know what is going to happen; however, your voice in this matter will make a difference.

We encourage you to write a letter to express you support of Miss Armbrust with the following points and to add your personal thoughts and experiences:

1.  We have heard that this decision is final but we believe she is entitled to reinstatement and/or be returned to administration.

2.  Her reputation must be cleared; “philosophical differences” would cover this.

3.  Because of the late date of these developments she should receive full salary and benefits, including health insurance, for at least the next school year, with allowance to be eligible for early retirement benefits (VESI).

Here is the letter writing process recommended by the diocese:

1.  Write your letter to Father Pendolphi and on the bottom of this letter co-copy it to the Office of the Chancery c/o Father Shawn Corcoran and co-copy it to Office of Catholic Schools c/o Kitty Quinn.  Address and mail this letter to “Fr. Pendolphi, C/O St. Michael Church, 5750 North High Street, Worthington, Oh 43085”

2.  Copy the same letter you wrote to Father Pendolphi and address and mail this envelope to “Chancery,C/O Father Shawn Corcoran, 198 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.”

3.  Copy the same letter you wrote to Father Pendolphi and address and mail this envelope to “Office of Catholic Schools,C/O Kitty Quinn, 197 East Gay Street, Columbus, OH 43215”.

All letters need to give specific information.  Each one should be personalized.

All letters need to end with “I look forward to your response” or “I ask for an appointment.”

Please be concise, respectful, positive and prayerful in your support of Miss Armbrust and hope for a fair resolution.

Call the parish, diocese and office of education at these number and PLEASE follow up with a letter.

We all want the best for the entire St. Michael School and Parish community.

  1. Tom Twynham says:

The way this has been handled by the pastor and the bishop is why the Catholic Church is losing membership. This pastor does not even attend meetings of the school board. This priest will give no explanation and says he will alot two hours once he is in heaven for his parishoners to apologize to him! Who does he think he is! What gall! He should remember who supports the church and who he serves.
I wonder if Christ would want to be a member of this parish.
